Sahaja Yoga Why Meditation

Why do you meditate?

I meditate because I think we all have a potential and that needs to be fulfilled and I feel like I live a more fulfilled life when I meditate because I can be the best version of myself.

I meditate because it’s helped me in life for starting the day and for my concentration. It’s cool I meditate because after, I feel better. I am more open to people after and that’s really nice.

I meditate because I tried this experience and after the first time, I felt that I was feeling better, relaxed, calm. And also, maybe when I have to study a lot, I just stop for a few minutes to meditate and concentrate again to start studying again.

I believe that in everyone of us, we have inside of us all the truth and the knowledge that we need to grow and I think that with meditation it’s the only way I can actually get connected to this truth and this knowledge. So, I meditate so I can grow and so I can evolve. I think everybody needs to evolve. What’s the point of stopping? And then also, more practically, I just get rid of my stress and makes me feel relaxed and confident and it makes me happy, joyful.

I don’t have like a special reason but I started meditating because I felt much better after meditation. I felt so much joy inside me, so much happiness and just to remember those moments when I feel sad or I feel bad, I just want to meditate to feel better again.

I meditate because I want to feel the inner joy I felt so I want to feel again and again and again.

I meditate because it helps me be a more balanced person and it helps me with my studies because I can be more concentrated and focused. Especially when I’m very stressed throughout the day, I just take two minutes for myself and it helps me relax and keep my attention and it’s very, very joyful when you reach that state where you’re not thinking at all and you can just witness everything.

So, why I meditate? I mediate to know myself, basically because I thought that I am the only person that I will live forever with me, so I must learn something more about me. That’s basically my motivation to meditate, to know myself.

I meditate because it gives me a few moments in the day I have entirely to myself. Everything, like family, friends, homework, nothing bugs me.

It helps me relax and forget about every other problem, everything.

It gives me peace. I feel more peaceful when I mediate and also helps me get in that state, in the center.

I meditate because I feel connected.]

I do it as an opportunity to introspect on my life, a chance to take a break from all the social activities, everything ongoing all the time, just sit there and take a break from it all.

I meditate because I think I’m someone who cares about things too much, worry too much. I would worry about something that I shouldn’t worry about, which is really stupid but I can’t stop doing it. When I meditate, everything just goes.

Second chance to reflect on your personality.

So, I started meditating about two years ago. So, very short time, but what I found is that it’s the only thing that actually makes me feel really alive by touching that point that like inner peace every day and just bringing that into my life. It just makes everything worth doing. Without meditation, I don’t think I could do that.
