Maureen Rossi: Pat and I came along, it was September 15 1975, Sunday morning. We were with some of the group of hippies, dropouts, whatever and it was Marie who took us, wasn͛t it? Marie from France. And we got the bus down.

Pat Anslow: I had to run after it because the people that were taking her thought I was in too bad a condition to take. They thought I was a gone case so there was no point in me going.

Maureen: Yeah, so we went there and on the way there, I certainly felt like terrified. I had no idea why, they just said it was their yoga teacher who didn’t do exercises and I thought, well, that’s a shame because I’m quite good at those. On the way there, my feet were walking, because I couldn’t run away, but my heart was running. And I didn’t know why I was so terrified. So, we went to this flat and had to leave our shoes which was unusual for us and from my point of view, we just walked in the room and I thought, oh, my goodness, she’s a goddess. I never ever thought such a thought. It’s just what came to my mind. We were told to sit down and Marie said, just put your hands out. So, I sat down, put my hands out and when Mother saw Pat…

Pat: That was when I, just after that, she asked us to go out and work on us and she put her hand on me and said, “this one is sick.” My first introduction.

Maureen: She said, “he’s got six months to live. What have you been doing to yourself?”

Pat: Yes, and basically said I’d exhausted all other possible ways of damaging my chakras and one thing and another. But when I walked in the room, I mean, I was in a bad state, but I was also quite aware of other dimensions of consciousness because of all the things I’ve been doing. And I walked into in the room expecting a yogi lady with a kind of quiet atmosphere and maybe someone tinkling a bell in the background or something and instead, Shri Mataji was telling someone off very forcefully, a Sikh chap. And immediately, the thing that came to mind when I when I walked in was, “wow, this must have been what it was like to come across Christ, teaching in the marketplace” and then I thought, “what you mean, what’s all this” and then I felt like the whole room was full of light and I felt I’d walked off a jungle pathway onto a big highway and whatever it was, I just felt, “wow, whatever this is, this is what I’m looking for.” And it went from there really.

Maureen: Mother came, she actually came and saw us as well. She sort of got up and walked and she said to me, “how do you feel? Do you feel anything in your hands?” No, “how do you feel?” And I said, “I feel something in my hands,” it was just like my attention. I said, oh, I feel it͛ and she said, “may God bless you, you got it,” I’ve got it, no idea what I’ve got but I’ve got it. And she said later that for six months she pinned my Kundalini up because it was so wobbly and I was just there, for six months, as a protection.

Pat: Well, with me, she asked for some water and someone gave her a bottle that they’d filled with water and then she took the bottle in her hand, turned around and I saw her open the door into this huge kind of photonic furnace, it was this blinding light and she put the bottle in and took it out, turned around and gave it to me and I, kind of, I didn’t question it at the time, it just was so amazing, I was just sort of gazing, stunned at it. But afterwards, I wondered if she’d actually done those physical motions, you know, turn round and because that’s what I saw, that’s what I experienced. And then she gave me this vibrated water which was amazing and, what was it? Oh, yes, she turned around and blew me a kiss as she left. One more interesting thing is that to sort of prove that the Sahasrara had opened, I don’t know whether you remember this or not, but she said, “cover your ears” and you can still, we covered our ears and she spoke to us and we had our hands clasped over ears like that and we could hear her speaking, we could hear what was she saying quite clearly and she said, “you’re hearing me through the Sahasrara” and that that was quite, quite amazing.
